About us

Graduated in Architecture in 1998 from the Faculty of Architecture in Porto University (FAUP), Portugal.

Erasmus Scholarship at Facoltá di Architectura di Ferrara, Italy, in 1998.

Master Degree in Transportation Design at Istituto Europeo di Design (IED), Turin, Italy in 2003.

Design development of an urban vehicle for public presentation at Geneva Motor Show 2004.

Professional internship as Automotive designer at Centro Stile - IDEA3, Turin, Italy in 2003.

Commited to proceed with a carreer as an architect, over more than 20 years and until 2020, worked in MVCC Arquitectos and has overseen a considerable amount of complex design and implementation projects, both in Portugal and abroad, namely in Asia.

Participated in and led cross-functional teams through the diverse steps of project development and wide-ranging architecture projects, including in the commercial, industrial, residential, educational, health care, hotel industry and urban development sectors, from their inception right up to their completion.

Moreover, has supervised several projects’ follow-up stage through onsite visits and have developed acute skills for the construction stage detailing.

This background has been developed in straight collaboration with several reputed architecture and engineering practices, in partnership or as team leader, namely Balmond Studio - London, in iconic and renowned buildings and urban interventions.

In 2021, with Teresa Corujo, he founded URBAN Arquitectura e Planeamento, Lda, spanning the company’s activity in the areas of urban design /urban planning and architecture projects supported by his wide experience in both sectors as team leader and ensuring holistic and sustainable project design and coordination.
